UIQ3 is hacked!.Now you can Install any unsigned SIS applications on your uiq3 platform without any complex procedures like registering in symbiansigned.com,getting publisher id,python scripting ,app TRK etc.The greatest fun is that you don’t need even a computer for doing this.
How to install unsigned applications in UIQ3 (SE P1i,M600,P990,W960,W950)
1)Download this archive.Install CapsSwitch and switch off the capabilities.Now you can access all the private files in your phone.For more details refer Walkman 3.0 on P1i.
2)Download the sis installer mod.From this archive copy the file installserver.exe to “c:\sys\bin\” on your phone using Xplore.This is to install any SIS files with protected\unprotected UID.
3)Restart your Phone.
4)Enjoy your hacked UIQ3.Now you can install any unsigned sis application softwares in your UIQ 3 phones.(Personally tested this hack in my P1i)
Common problems faced during this UIQ 3 hacking attempt.
Q)Couldn’t open sys/bin on C: drive that is phone memory.
Sol)Capabilities are not switched off in CapsSwitch.To do this Install CapsSwitch as I said before and press the switch button.Now the screen shows Capabilities are switched off.
Q)Cannot find the system folder in my phone using file manager.
Sol)You will never find the system folder in your default file manager.Install Xplore and then look for the Sys folder in the C: drive.

Did, or do you have, the installer for Opera 9.5 beta for UIQ3??? Or was that a typo??? If you did have it...PLEASE, share!!! Its not fair that only the Winmo version was leaked!
Renju, first of all thanks for all this info. Got Walkman 3.0 working on my p1i flawlessly. Copied installserver.exe to c:/sys/bin.. rebooted.. tried installing some sis, any sis.. it wouldn't open at all... wondering why that is? thanks in advance.

i'm having the same problem. Once I put install.sis onto my c:/sys/bin it won't let me install any programs. What am I doing wrong? I'm using a SE G900 with UIQ 3 btw.

So straight forward. I wasn't able to install xplore because it failed security checks.
So i used Swiss Manager pro. To copy the exe to c:/sys/bin
wen i tried to explore the following error message appear:
'compnent failed security check; cannot install'
Capswitch is working fine

kindly select the correct symbian version mod. is it 9.1 or 9.2? on my p1i 9.2 mod is working very fine.
sorry small correction, on my p1i 9.1 is working fine. When I tried with 9.2 I faced the same problem.
How to find out our ver is 9.1 or 9.2?
i met the same problem, after the file being copied to sys/bin, i cannot install anything, even uninstall any application. it just as if processing something, then cancelled / failed, as if nothing happened, no pop-up of installation failed, etc. Please help!
can someone help me, i can't find my 'c:\sys\bin' in my phone memory, i already use the xplore to find it, but still can't!!???

If you can´t see the sys\bin, in Xplore go to Menu->tools->configuration. Check the option that appears in that screen... now you should see the sys\bin
i put installer.exe in sys/bin folder..i do restart in my w960 and then nothing happens..when i try to install the sis file it say the package uses an unprotected id..plz help
I dont understand, i put the installserver.exe in the bin folder... and i restart my phone... is that all i do?? and i tried the walkman 3.0 app... and it doesnt seem to work.. i copied the folders to my memory stick.. and restarted my phone.. nothing happend.. can someone help me?? thanks a lot
