Twitter, the most famous micro blogging has been hacked today and the homepage was defaced with the message below.
“Name of God Twitter.com is now completely taken down and even status.twitter.com looks down from here. The Twitter homepage now looks similar to http://www.mowjcamp.org/ The Google cache still shows the defaced page of twitter which confirms that the site has been compromised. The message shown in the cache is بنام خدا Translating this text shows “Name of God Looks like some sort of server-side DNS cache poisoning where the nameservers of twitter is redirected to the defaced page. Lets hope twitter team recovers from this attack ASAP. UPDATE: Twitter is back!!! UPDATE2: As assumed, it was a clear case of DNS disruption. Checkout the Twitter blog for knowing more on this issue.
